Scrap Happy April Envelop Blocks

This April, the quilt guild I belong to is celebrating its 7th anniversary. I don’t always take part in the monthly block lottery (this month is a 6.5″ envelop block). But being that it will be a festive meeting and that I have many, many, many fabric scraps πŸ˜€ I decided to participate. I made two to double my gambling chances!

Alison Glass, Kaffe Fasset, Kona, Riley Blake . . . I save the tiniest scraps. Perfect sized scraps for this block’s measurements and a Scrap Happy project. Scrap Happy is open to anyone using up scraps of anything – no new materials and is hosted monthly by Kate and Gun.  Maybe I will win the lottery and get to sew a really nice quilt made from guild member blocks.

Wish me luck! – – Joanne

  1. That’s a cute block–I love the one with the text tucked inside the envelope! Good luck winning the lottery (but maybe, even if you don’t win, you could make a quilt from this pattern?)

    1. You are right, I now know how to sew up an envelop block. BTW, it took two tries to get that text print fabric to line up πŸ˜€
