We have a houseful at the moment, haven’t completed our family room or bedroom . . . Annnnd I’ve this brilliant idea to makeover a kitchen. My sister’s 1960 home needs a budget-friendly small kitchen makeover. I think I must work best under pressure. 😉

The plan is to keep the original solid pine cabinets, extend counter space, add additional storage, add a new range and to brighten up the area. In other words: improve function, modernize and make it aesthetically pleasing to the eye – and keep costs to the barest minimum. We’ve browsedPinterest, Houzz, DIY blogs and online stores for ideas and inspiration. My sister settled on a modern farmhouse white kitchen. Here are some of our inspiration ideas:
With the Townhouse Renovation complete we can focus on revamping our bedroom and replacing the family room carpet with hardwood flooring – Plan A. Ten years ago, we lightened up the room by replacing the sliding door with a wooden swing door and painting the paneled walls a buttery yellow. I dug around and found old images ( a little blurry).
