1940’s Shabby Painted Dresser/Night Stand

3-parts water/1-part latex paint

I sanded the dresser to remove old grime and the stain. Then, I simply washed the solution over the wood using old T-shirt rags.  To give each drawer a geometric design, I covered the fronts with painter’s tape and applied the paint (without water mixed in).

Antique Washstand / Side Table

acrylic craft paints / varathane

Heavy sanding to remove 100 years of grime and dirt was followed by a few free-hand “vine” details using acrylic craft paints.    To make up for the missing marble top I coated it with many layers of varathane.
